Qualified Nursery Nurse on a Floating Basis Required

Due to our rapidly expanding nursery we are looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse to join us on a floating basis.

You will be joining a professional, established and friendly team.

To be considered for the position you will need a level 3 child care qualification, good knowledge of the Birth to 3 and Curriculum for Excellence, experience as a key worker, friendly, hard working and have a positive can-do attitude.

You must be able to work at least 16-20 hours per week on a shift basis.

As a Nursery Nurse you are a key member of the early years team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children. Some of your duties will be:- promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues, ensure health, safety and wellbeing of the children, support the childrens development learning, build relationships with groups of children their families.

Full Time Nursery Manager Required

Kidz World Nursery is looking for an experienced childcare professional with Managerial experience to manage a 53 place and rapidly expanding nursery in Alloa.

You must have the drive and initiative to hit the ground running and a genuine desire to grow and develop our relatively new nursery.

You must be able to direct, train and motivate our team and will be a big part in driving the commercial success of the nursery through the maintenance of high standards of care, communication and presentation within the nursery.

First impressions are the key to a successful nursery so you must have an eye for detail and a passion to make a difference to both children, parents, staff and the business.

Some of your responsibilities will include:-
• Managing the nursery budgets and requisitions
• Leading by example and providing a positive role model to the staff team by effective leadership
• Adhering to company policies and procedures and complying with SCSWIS requirements
• Maintaining the day to day operations within a busy nursery
• Upholding standards of care and Health & Safety
• Administrative and financial functions

Candidates are required to have the following qualifications and experience and competencies:-
• Minimum NVQ level 3 in childcare and education or equivalent
• Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant degree in childhood studies
• Post qualifying with managerial experience
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of the Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence
• The ability to meet deadlines and targets and exemplary organisational skills
• Competent in ITC

Salary is negotiable with bonus incentives.  The post is full time 40 hours per week. A PVG disclosure will be required at the applicants expense.

SOFT PLAY VACANCIES

Play Centre/Catering Manager Required
-Job Share (3-4 days per week)

Would you like to join our management team as we are looking for a manager who can come in and hit the ground running!

We are looking for someone who has previous managerial experience who can not only lead and support our floor team but who can also lead our catering facility and take it forward into a new and exciting era. In 2012 we are planning a complete refurb, new menu and new party facility so someone with creativity and ideas is essential!

Our play centre is busy and dynamic and you must have proven ability to work well under pressure, be flexible and approachable, have a proactive outlook and have excellent communication skills.

You will have at least 3 years experience in a managerial role with excellent knowledge of customer service within in a leisure or catering environment. Knowledge of Food Standards and Health & Safety is preferable.

Managerial duties will include:
General management of the soft play facility
Managing our catering facility and leading the kitchen team
Maintaining a safe and clean environment by following and implementing procedures
Cash handling
Events and birthday party management
Stock control

If not already held you will be required to take food hygiene course, first aid and will undertake PVG checks.

This role is on a job share basis with our current manager. Hours are expected to be in the region of 3 days per week including weekends. Salary negotiable.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB SUPERVISOR REQUIRED

Level 3 qualified supervisor needed for our expanding after school club within Kidz World Nursery, Alloa.

Working with children age 5-12 you must be full of creativity, enthusiasm and energy to provide activities and care for our busy club. The club has its own dedicated room within the nursery and also has exclusive use of a 4000 sq ft soft play and services most of the schools within Alloa & Tullibody.

Average of 16 hours per week for approx 38 weeks.
Hours are 1-6pm Monday and 3-6pm Tues-Fri term time only.

Must have full, clean drivers license and own car as a school pick up service will be a main part of the job.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential and must have knowledge of SCSWIS requirements. Experience of supervising staff would be preferable. Evidence of current PVG will be requested or will be required to be obtained at successful candidates expense. Salary dependent on experience.
